20 - Hour Restorative Yoga Teacher Training.
Rest is a practice, guiding it is a skill. Learn to teach restorative yoga with depth, intention, and understanding.
You might be feeling…
You might be feeling drawn to teach in a slower, more intentional way, but unsure how to hold space for deep rest.
Perhaps you feel confident guiding movement, yet less certain when it comes to stillness, silence, and creating the conditions that support genuine rest.
You may have realised that restorative yoga is a practice in its own right—not simply a gentler version of Yin or a slower flow class—and want to better understand what makes it unique.
You may be curious about restorative yoga and want to deepen your understanding of the practice—from intelligent sequencing and thoughtful prop set-ups to inclusive language, choice, and evidence-informed teaching principles.
Or maybe you're simply ready to create classes that feel thoughtful, welcoming, and deeply supportive—for both your students and yourself.
If this sounds like you, this 20-hour Restorative Yoga Teacher Training will give you the knowledge, practical skills, and confidence to guide restorative yoga with depth, intention, and understanding.
INTRODUCING
20 - Hour Restorative Yoga Teacher Training
Rest is a practice, guiding it is a skill.
Learn to teach restorative yoga with depth, intention, and understanding.
Restorative yoga is more than stillness and long-held shapes—it's the thoughtful practice of creating the conditions for conscious rest. Guiding that experience requires more than props alone; it calls for knowledge, curiosity, and skill.
Throughout this 20-hour training, you'll develop a deeper understanding of restorative yoga—from the foundations of the practice and intelligent sequencing to thoughtful prop set-ups, inclusive language, and the subtle elements that shape a truly supportive experience. Together, we'll combine practical learning, embodied practice, and reflective discussion to help you confidently guide restorative classes with intention.
You'll explore restorative yoga shapes, learn how to intelligently sequence classes that support rest and discover how to adapt the practice when props are limited. We'll also explore the role of language, choice, consent, and nervous system awareness, and how these principles can help create classes that feel more welcoming, inclusive, and responsive to the diverse experiences of your students.
One of the central themes throughout this training is recognising that rest is not a universal experience. Our relationship with rest is deeply personal, and for many people, slowing down isn't simple, comfortable, or immediately accessible. By understanding this complexity, we can move beyond assumptions and learn to guide restorative yoga with greater sensitivity, flexibility, and intention—meeting students where they are, rather than where we expect them to be.
Whether you're new to restorative yoga or looking to deepen your teaching, this training is designed to help you move beyond the idea that restorative yoga is simply "gentle" or "Yin with more props." You'll leave with the knowledge, practical skills, and confidence to guide restorative yoga with depth, purpose, and understanding.

About Andrea
You're learning from someone who doesn't just teach restorative yoga, I continue to guide the practice every week across multiple studios, through private sessions, teacher trainings, retreats, and long-standing restorative events that have been refined over years of teaching.
This training is shaped by real experience, not theory alone. Every sequence, cue, prop set-up, and teaching principle has been explored, tested, and refined in the studio with hundreds of students.
Alongside my teaching, I've spent over 15 years working in mental health and community support. That experience has deepened my understanding of how people experience rest, the importance of thoughtful language, and the value of creating classes that are welcoming, inclusive, and responsive to the diverse people in front of us.
I believe restorative yoga deserves to be taught with the same level of care, curiosity, and skill as any other style of yoga. It's far more than arranging props or holding shapes for long periods of time—it's a practice that asks us to thoughtfully consider sequencing, language, pacing, and the overall experience we're creating for our students.
This training isn't about rigid rules or teaching a single "right" way. It's about giving you the knowledge, practical skills, and confidence to teach restorative yoga with depth, intention, and understanding, while developing a teaching style that feels authentic to you.
By the end of this training, you’ll be able to
Confidently teach restorative yoga classes that are, inclusive, and accessible.

This training is designed for yoga teachers, recent graduates, and experienced space-holders who want to deepen their understanding of restorative yoga and trauma-aware principles. It’s also suitable for teachers in other movement modalities who wish to integrate restorative and supportive practices into their work.

While both practices appear slow and still, their intention and impact are quite different.
Yin Yoga gently stresses the connective tissues — such as fascia, ligaments, and joints — to support mobility and functional range of motion. Shapes are held for a length of time , with the intention of looking for sensation in the body.
Restorative Yoga, on the other hand, is not about stretch or sensation. It’s about rest. Each shape is fully supported with props to remove effort, inviting the nervous system to settle and the body to shift into deep rest and repair.
In restorative yoga we explore pacing, support & environment to help students feel supported enough to rest — making it a practice of restoration rather than intensity.
-
Guiding restorative yoga allows you to offer rest in a way that is supportive, and inclusive, and also recognise that rest is not accessible to all bodies and nervous systems. Restorative yoga invites stillness — but stillness can be confronting for many students, especially those carrying stress, burnout, or trauma.
This training helps you recognise how the nervous system responds to rest, and how your language, pacing, and presence can create a sense of support. It’s not about changing what you teach, but how you teach — using awareness, choice, and respect to ensure every student feels welcome to meet the practice in their own way.
Ultimately, it allows restorative yoga to be more than just shapes and props — it becomes a practice of empowerment, self-awareness, and deep rest.

I am so grateful for the opportunity to learn from Andrea.
It is evident that she embodies what she teaches, so much of the content landed because her delivery mirrored the principles she was guiding us through. The lessons were short and easy to take in whilst reaching a level of depth that really sunk in and helped me to feel confident in guiding this practice. Not only am I now confident to share a restorative practice, but I am also a stronger, more confident teacher. Thank you Andrea for sharing your wisdom.

“Andrea’s cues are soft, warm, and genuinely supportive, guiding you gently back to yourself.”
Andrea is, without a doubt, the most nurturing and grounding yoga teacher I’ve ever experienced.
Her restorative and yin classes are a true gift and every session feels like a safe space to completely let go. Without fail, I find myself tearing up from the sheer sense of wholehearted safety and calm she creates.
Andrea’s cues are soft, warm, and genuinely supportive, guiding you gently back to yourself. One of my favourite things she says is that it’s your time, you can use it however you like even if you just lie there in one shape for the whole class.
That permission, that compassion, makes every class feel deeply personal and healing. Her voice is incredibly soothing, her energy is grounding, and her approach embodies everything restorative yoga is meant to be.
I can’t recommend Andrea highly enough, her classes are truly an experience for the mind, body, and heart.
